Advocacy & Consultation Support

Guidance for the parts of the journey that happen outside the classroom.

Some of the most important conversations about a child happen outside a lesson plan. Charm City Classroom offers advocacy and guidance support for families navigating school meetings, evaluations, IEP and 504 planning, and the everyday questions that come with raising a child in today's ever-changing educational landscape — available to any family, whether or not they are currently enrolled in education services.

You don't have to navigate this alone.

Becky Remesch brings more than 14 years of experience in special education to conversations that go beyond academic skill-building — understanding an evaluation, preparing for a parent-teacher conference, or thinking through what an IEP or 504 plan actually means for your child.

This support is offered separately from, or in addition to, education services and is available to any family, whether you work with Charm City Classroom for instruction or simply need guidance for a specific situation.

Sometimes that means preparing for a meeting or reviewing an evaluation. Just as often, it's simpler than that — having a thought partner to ask a quick question, think through a situation, get support with a tough decision, or make sense of something that didn't sit right.

Two ways to get focused guidance.

Consultations are available by request and are billed separately from education services.

Additional support, available by request

Some families need more than a conversation. In select cases, additional support is available, including:

  • In-person or virtual attendance at IEP or 504 meetings
  • Written documentation, such as summaries or school letters
  • Ongoing planning for more complex academic or advocacy needs

This level of support is scoped individually based on your family's situation. Reach out to discuss whether it's the right fit — most families start with a consultation first.

Families who want a knowledgeable partner.
